VOTER ELIGIBILITY:

To be eligible to vote in this election, you MUST be a current SAME AND San Antonio Post member as shown on the current membership roster available at the Post website.

VOTING PROCEDURES:

In the ballot, you will be asked to select the candidate of your choice for each of the five (5) available positions. You can also choose to identify WRITE-IN candidate(s) for position(s). If you do so, select "WRITE-IN" for the position in the drop-down menu, then enter the name of the individual in the box where it says WRITE-IN candidate for that position.

Please be sure when entering any WRITE-IN candidate(s) that they are: (1) members of the Post; (2) interested in serving in the position; (3) and have the time to serve in the position.

CANDIDATES:

For 2017 Vice President/2018 President-elect: This is a 2-year position. The individual elected to this position will first serve as Vice President under the previously elected 2017 President then assumes the role of Post President for 2018:

  • shirlbergAmy Shirlberg (SpecPro Professional Services) is the manager for the company’s task order supporting AFCEC and the Enhanced Use Lease and Utility Privatization programs. Amy has served the Post as the Assistant Secretary, Secretary, YM Director, Director of Leadership & Mentoring, and is currently the Holiday Party Chair. She also developed the SAME/Girl Scouts Architecture and Engineering Academy, served on several Post committees, and has been a mentor at the SAME/Air Force Academy E&C Camp. Amy was selected as the 2010 Post Top YM, 2011 Post Top Member, as one of the YMs to represent SAME at the 2012 Emerging Leaders Alliance Conference in Reston, VA and the 2015 SAME YM Medal..

For 2017 Treasurer: This is a 1-year position (elected/re-elected each year). This individual is the Chief Financial Officer of the Post who is overall responsible for all financial matters and accounts:

  • hutchinsSam Hutchins (City of San Antonio Transportation and Capital Improvements Department) is a senior engineer who manages the project management software and project scheduling functions for the City. Sam has been our Post Assistant Treasurer or Treasurer since 2002 and also supports many of the Post committees including the Golf Committee. He has been a SAME member since 1990 and was inducted in SAME’s Academy of Fellows in 2009. YM, 2011 Post Top Member, as one of the YMs to represent SAME at the 2012 Emerging Leaders Alliance Conference in Reston, VA and the 2015 SAME YM Medal.

For 2017 Secretary: This is also a 1-year position (elected/re-elected each year). This individual is overall responsible for all administrative matters related to Post operations

  • clarkRob Clark (Vickrey & Associates, Inc.) is a project manager responsible for managing public infrastructure improvement projects. Rob also is responsible for the company’s business development activities for public infrastructure improvements and for the federal government. He served as 2013 Post Secretary, on the Board of Directors of the Greater New Braunfels Chamber of Commerce, and was a Past-Chairman of the Community Development Advisory Committee in New Braunfels.
  • Marie Masbadupports business development, helps oversee the progress of all proposal work and technical reports, and provides management office support for her company. Marie masbadalso contributes to the design and production of marketing material and collation of information for promotional products. She has served as the Post’s Assistant Secretary and currently is our Secretary. Marie graduated from the 2014 Post Leadership Lab where she served as the Social Coordinator. Marie was selected as one of the YMs to represent SAME at the 2015 Emerging Leaders Alliance Conference in Reston, VA. She serves on the Small Business, Golf Tournament and Holiday Celebration Committees and helps with Post meeting check-in. Marie was selected as the 2015 Post Top YM and was recently awarded 2016 TEXOMA RVP Medal.

For 2017-2018 Director of Professional Development (PD): This is a 2-year position. There are 4 elected Directors (two are elected/re-elected every year) responsible for the 4 major Post program areas: Professional Development, Personal Growth, Leadership & Mentoring, and Relationships. The Professional Development and Personal Growth Directors are together responsible for the: (1) STEM Outreach Program; (2) College Outreach Program; and (3) Member Professional Development & Education Programs:

  • prattDavid Pratt (Parsons) is responsible for program operations, contract sales growth and task order management for Parsons’ Architect-Engineer 2013 Design and Construction Services prime contract, and with program operations and task order management for Parsons’ legacy prime contract for worldwide planning, programming and design services. David served as the Post’s Special Projects Coordinator, YM Director and K-12 Outreach Coordinator. He also served as the SAME 2008-2011 YM Council Vice-Chair for Programs and has been serving as the SAME E&C Camp Scholarship Director since 2010. David was our 2009 Top Post YM, earned the 2009 TEXOMA RVP Medal and was the 2012 SAME YM Winner,

For 2017-2018 Director of Personal Growth (PG): This is another 2-year Director’s position. The Personal Growth and Professional Development Directors are together responsible for the: (1) STEM Outreach Program; (2) College Outreach Program; and (3) Member Professional Development & Education Programs:

  • wilburEric Wilbur (Wilbur Consulting) is the CEO/President of his company, which provides expert advice and consultation to clients covering strategic planning, conflict resolution to include contract claims and litigation support, program and project management, and forensic analysis of complex contract execution issues. Eric has served United States Green Building Council Balcones Chapter Advisory Council Member and is a GSA Construction Excellence Peer Review Program Professional. He also served in the USAF for 26 years and commanded several large organizations including being the Lackland AFB Vice Commander. Eric has supported numerous Post volunteer activities including: Basura Bash, Operation Float a Soldier, Warrior & Family Support Center Work Days, Alamo Regional Science & Engineering Fair, Texas Science & Engineering Fair, Small Business Market Research Fair, and E&M Fund Golf Tournament. He graduated from the 2015 Post Leadership Lab where he served as the Assistant Director and now serves as the 2016 Director.
